and goodnight to the old lady whispering "hush"

This week we have decided that #5 needs to be weaned from her pacifier. We had gotten to the point where she could use it only to sleep at night or for naptime, but somehow during the summer (sympathetic older siblings I would guess) she has gotten hooked on an all-day basis.
Weary from hearing her whine for it, and not wanting to buy another set as the current ones have been around awhile, the decision to go cold turkey was made.

So, to end this sweet time, embracing the new era of "big girl" (we are also trying to fully potty train), we say goodbye to sassy, papsy, tapsy, tassy, tipsy-tassy, pippsy-tassy (all the nicknames she gave to her huckleberry friend, "paci").
