look around

... if you pay close enough attention you will notice that we are now seeing the sense of entitlement that has resulted from Everybody Gets A Trophy Syndrome.  It ain't pretty when it grows up, is it?

    Oh, well, yes, THAT DAY was wonderful. I was more referring to these "senior pranks gone too far" stories in the newspaper lately.

    Why is it bad to reward excellence? Why is it acceptable to reward mediocrity? I don't get it.
